Add Watermark
Add Watermark to PDF stamps a text string or a logo image onto every page, with control over opacity, rotation and position, and the option to place the mark behind existing content.
About Add Watermark
Watermarks mark intent. A diagonal DRAFT stops a working version being mistaken for the final one, CONFIDENTIAL sets expectations before anyone reads a line, and a company logo brands a proposal that will be forwarded on. The mark applies to every page in one pass, which matters for long documents where manually stamping each sheet would be slow and inconsistent.
Set opacity so the mark is visible without making the text hard to read; somewhere around 15 to 30 per cent usually works for a large diagonal stamp. Placing the watermark behind page content keeps body text crisp, though it will be hidden anywhere the page has a solid white background block. Be clear-eyed about what a watermark is: a deterrent and a label, not a security control.
How to add watermark
- Upload your PDF, then choose a text watermark or a logo image.
- Set the wording or image, plus opacity, rotation, position and layer order.
- Click the apply button to stamp every page in the document.
- Download the watermarked PDF and check a text-heavy page for readability.
Why use this tool
Text or image
Stamp a phrase such as DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL, or upload a logo file when you want a branded mark on every page of a document.
Behind or in front
Draw the mark under page content so body text stays fully legible, or over the top when you want the stamp to be unmissable.
Full placement control
Adjust opacity, rotation angle and position independently, so a diagonal faint stamp and a small corner logo are both a couple of clicks away.
