Organize PDF

Organize PDF lets you reorder the pages of a document by dragging them into any sequence, then download the rearranged file.

About Organize PDF

Page order goes wrong in predictable ways. A document feeder pulls a stack in reverse, so a 40-page scan comes back last page first. Someone merges an appendix before the conclusion. A form gets scanned with all fronts first and all backs after, giving you 1, 3, 5, then 2, 4, 6. Rearranging visually is far quicker than re-scanning or rebuilding the file from parts.

Drag-and-drop works well up to a few dozen pages. Beyond that, thumbnails become hard to track and it is worth splitting the document, fixing the sections, then merging back. Reordering does not update any printed page numbers inside the content, since those are part of the page image or text, not metadata. If the numbering must match, edit the source before exporting to PDF.

How to organize pdf

  1. Upload the PDF whose page order you want to change.
  2. Drag thumbnails into the sequence you want, or rotate pages as needed.
  3. Click Organize PDF to rebuild the document in your new order.
  4. Download the reordered file once the server finishes.

Why use this tool

Drag to reorder

Move any page anywhere by dragging its thumbnail. The layout you see before clicking is exactly the order written to the output file.

Rotate while sorting

Fix sideways or upside-down scans in the same pass, so you do not need a second tool run just to correct orientation.

Nothing re-encoded

Reordering rewrites the page sequence only. Content is copied verbatim, so the rearranged document looks identical to the original page for page.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything?
No. Organizing pages is free, with no account, no signup and no paywall on any option. Your rearranged PDF downloads clean, with no watermark and no extra page added, however many times you use the tool.
Will rearranging pages reduce quality?
No. Reordering only changes the sequence in which existing pages are written to the new file. Nothing is re-compressed or rasterised, so the result is visually identical to your original, including scans, embedded fonts and vector graphics.
Is there a file size limit?
Uploads are capped at 50 MB per file and 25 files per request. Very long documents with hundreds of pages also become awkward to reorder by hand, so consider splitting them into sections, fixing each, then merging the results back together.
Are my files private?
Everything is processed on our own server rather than a third-party service, and files are deleted automatically within one hour of upload. No copies are kept and nobody inspects your documents. Download your result within that window.
Can I reverse the page order of a scan?
Yes. Drag pages into reverse sequence in the organizer and rebuild the file. For a long reversed scan it is faster to work in chunks: move blocks of pages rather than dragging each one individually across the whole document.
