About Scan to PDF
Phone cameras have replaced flatbed scanners for most everyday paperwork, but a raw photo makes a poor document. The page sits at an angle, one side is darker because your hand cast a shadow, and the file is several megabytes of noisy JPEG. This tool corrects the geometry, evens out the lighting across the page and thresholds the result so text reads as black on white rather than grey on beige.
Pick the mode that suits the source. Black and white gives the smallest files and the crispest text for printed or typed pages. Greyscale handles pencil, faint print and photographs of forms. Colour keeps stamps, signatures and highlighting visible where those matter legally. The output is an image-based PDF, so the text is not searchable. Run OCR afterwards if you need to select or search the words.
How to scan to pdf
- Upload the photos of your document pages, or take them on your phone.
- Choose black and white, greyscale or colour, and confirm the page order.
- Click Scan to PDF and let the server deskew and clean each image.
- Download the finished PDF, then run OCR if you need searchable text.
