Merge PDF

Merge PDF combines two or more PDF files into a single document, keeping every page exactly as it was in the original.

About Merge PDF

Merging comes up whenever a single logical document arrives in pieces: a signed contract returned page by page, scanned invoices from three different months, or a report where the charts were exported separately from the text. Sending one file instead of six saves everyone the trouble of guessing the reading order. The tool copies page objects straight across, so fonts, vectors and embedded images survive untouched.

Order matters more than people expect. Files are merged in the sequence shown on screen, not alphabetically by filename, so drag them into position before you commit. A common trap is filenames like page2, page10, page11 sorting oddly on your own machine before upload. If any file is password-protected, unlock it first, because an encrypted PDF cannot be read for merging until the password is supplied.

How to merge pdf

  1. Select or drag in the PDF files you want joined into one document.
  2. Drag the thumbnails to set the exact order pages should appear in.
  3. Click Merge PDF and wait a few seconds while the server builds the file.
  4. Download the combined PDF, or send it straight to another tool.

Why use this tool

Truly lossless

Pages are copied, never re-encoded, so text stays sharp, images keep full resolution and file structure is preserved exactly as the originals.

Order you control

Rearrange files by dragging before merging. What you see on screen is the sequence written into the final document, every time.

Up to 25 files

Merge as many as 25 PDFs per request, each up to 50 MB, which covers most report packs and full sets of scanned paperwork.

Frequently asked questions

Is merging PDFs here free?
Yes, completely free with no account, no email and no trial period. Every merged file downloads clean, with no watermark, banner or footer added anywhere. There is no paid tier holding back features and no daily cap on how many merges you run.
Will merging reduce quality?
No. Merging is a lossless operation. Pages are copied from the source files into the new document rather than re-rendered or re-compressed, so text remains selectable and vector-sharp, and images keep exactly the resolution and compression they had before.
How many files can I merge at once?
Up to 25 PDFs per request, with a 50 MB limit on each individual file. If your set is larger, merge in batches: combine the first 25, then feed that result back in with the next group. The output of one merge is a valid input for the next.
Are my uploaded files private?
Files go to our own server, not a third-party service, and are deleted automatically within one hour. Nobody reviews them and they are never used for anything beyond producing your download. For highly sensitive material, download promptly and avoid shared computers.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Not directly. An encrypted PDF cannot be read until its password is supplied, so remove the protection first using the unlock tool, then merge as normal. If you do not know the password, the file's owner will need to provide it.
