Excel to PDF converts XLS, XLSX, ODS and CSV spreadsheets into a PDF with LibreOffice, laying out each sheet as it would print, with formulas shown as their calculated values.
About Excel to PDF
Spreadsheets are awkward to share. The recipient can see your formulas, sort a column by accident, or open the file in something that recalculates it differently. A PDF is a fixed record of what the numbers were on the day you sent them, which is why invoices, timesheets, budgets and reports are usually circulated as PDF rather than as a live workbook.
The gotcha is page breaks. A sheet has no natural page size, so a wide table will be split across pages or shrunk until it is hard to read. Set the print area, scaling and orientation in your spreadsheet program before uploading — the converter honours those settings. Very wide sheets usually need landscape and fit-to-width to come out sensibly.
How to excel to pdf
- Select your XLS, XLSX, ODS or CSV file to upload.
- Add more workbooks if you want to convert a batch.
- Click Convert to PDF and wait for LibreOffice to lay out the sheets.
- Download the PDF and check that no columns were cut off.
